I’m excited to share the news of my third picture book coming out Spring 2020 with Page Street Kids titled WANTED: DUSK RAIDERS and am thrilled to work once again with editor Charlotte Wenger. I can’t wait to see what illustrator Ellen Rooney does with my words. Can’t. Wait.
This story was inspired by my childhood spent in Richardson, Texas. I vividly remember roaming the neighborhood with my friends after dinner in the summertime. The itchy grass. The ticka-ticka-ticka sounds of locusts. The oranges, pinks, and purples of the sunset. The games we played. When the streetlights popped on, we knew our time together was coming to an end. I hope these experiences are as commonplace now as they were back then.
